numerous bells and whistles, too many unused for the value paid; which is to say, i miss the money i paid for them more than i would miss the bells n whistles were they not in the product. but the steam fresh is respectable and the ability to better clean using just cold water which i grant an improved ability to this machine.
downside:
the gasket around the loader leaks by poor design. had LG engineer come out and look at it. discussed in length. it leaks water by poor design. not much but too much for anything over $400 and this machine was over $1200.
lettering for settings, on front panel, easily comes off. LG engineer suggested that sprays (stain/spot treatment) often unintentionally gets sprayed on causing chemical reaction. if that be the case, then LG needs to design it so with that in mind. the letting on the stove, computer keyboards, telephone keypad, etc, they don't come off -some decades old- and they cost less than the LG washer.
