(More customer reviews)We have a constant problem with lint clogging the basement sink our washer drains into. In the past, we have used store-brought lint traps attached to the washer drain hose to corral the lint, which is a somewhat expensive solution - at the store, a package of 2 lint drain filters is $1.99, with cable ties. However, after one or two loads, the filters are clogged and have to be removed and cleaned. These filters are made of thin mesh fabric that work well, and at .49 for a two pack, are a much better value. However, the cable ties that come with them aren't even close to large enough to attach the filters - so, be warned, you'll need to have your own or twist ties to secure the bags, which have elastic tops but need some help to keep them on against the force of water. I just did three loads of wash without having to clean or remove the bags, which is also a nice change. Hopefully, over time, (I'm already well ahead in my wallet), these will prove to survive a lot better than the store-bought kind, even with my own cable ties!
