(More customer reviews)I purchased this washer 6 months ago. At first I loved it. Then one day it broke in the middle of a wash and would not do anything. It was still under warranty so I called Maytag and they sent out a repair man. That is when I learned that Maytag no longer cares about customer service. They sent someone out 5 different times and they tried 5 different part (one they tried ordering and installing twice) but they could not fix it. During this time while I waited for them to order parts and then getting around to scheduling me after they took care of other customers, it was a total of one month and 6 days without a washing machine. I called Maytag numerous times and begged them to get my washer fixed or get a new one. They could care less. It was after all only 6 months old and the most expensive one they sell. During this time, I learned that Maytag has been bought out by Whirlpool so now Whirpool owns a monopoly. They make whirlpool, maytag, kenmore, roper and kitchen aide. They don't have to treat their customers nice or help them. They finally decided after one month and 5 repair attempts that the machine could not be repaired and they did replace the machine, but not with a maytag! They said they could no longer locate one like this in my color and offered me a whirlpool with similar features. I needed a washer so bad, I agreed. The company they sent out to install the new washer would not reinstall my dryer, even though they uninstalled the dryer to FIX the washer. Do not buy any appliance made by whirlpool corp. They will leave you hanging out to dry!
